A Thought on Professional Life

So - I strongly dislike my current job. By "strongly dislike", I mean I want to tear my eyes out every minute of my 10 hour day. But, given my necessity for an income and the terrible job market about the time of my graduation, I was left with little choice but to accept a crappy job, with crappy pay, crappy work schedule, and crappy professional experience.

I'm not going to settle for this. About 2 weeks ago, I set my #1 goal to obtaining a new one. Mission Accomplished...Thanks to Kim Jones. The power and strength of creating quality relationships with people always amazes me. Kim has been a friend of mine since 2005. Over drinks a few nights ago, Kim asked about my job. When I said I'm looking for a new one, she happened to have an opening in her company. 3 days later...I have a new job. woo hoo!

Here's to something new! Now...the less desirable task of unprofessionally quitting my job after 4 weeks of employment. ugh. such is life.
